When ever I have visitors, I learn or see something new about LA. I was fortunate to have my parents visit me, and keep me company for my wisdom teeth surgery.
I took them to Disneyland, and even got them the 1st time pin! They had been to California Adventure before, but I felt they deserved one for their first time at Disneyland, the first ever Disney park.
Aren't they so cute!
We were able to see World of Color, which is a new Disney show. It's freaking amazing. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to go multiple times as I show my friend, 3 at a time, this show. To be honest, you do have to be a true Disney fan to enjoy the emotional part of the show, but the water and light combination can amaze and entertain anyone.
Saturday I finally got to see the Warner Bros Studio. I had entered before about three times I believe, to see two tapings of the Big Bang Theory and one of The New Adventures of Old Christine. But seeing the back lot and sets was amazing! I had always wanted to splurge and take the tour, but while in school (when I had the time) I could not afford it, and then when I started working, I didn't have time! But lucky for us, they decided to start doing the tour on Saturdays, and it just so happens their first Saturday was the day that we booked the tour.
I got to see the Gilmore Girls town (or what's left of it...since Pretty Little Liars has taken over) and the Chicago subway and the street they filmed RENT in.
Then there was the Getty Villa, as always so beautiful. If you live in LA and you haven't been, book a ticket today! It's free, but they like you to reserve a spot, so it doesn't overcrowd. That's how nice and wonderful this place is. The Getty Center is nice, but there's always so many people there. Not at the Getty Villa, it's quiet and peaceful and you can easily take a picture with no one in site.
The only problem is that you are left with the desire of taking a dip in the fountain...
It was a wonderful visit. :0)
