I still can't believe that yesterday marks the third time I've celebrated July 4th in Los Angeles. I don't even remember what I did the first year, and the second I remember hosting a wonderful BBQ in the glenoaks apt.
This year I honestly did not want to host anything, and luckily Jen (who we just discovered was our nextdoor building neighbor!) invited us to the beach bonfire BBQ extravaganza with all of her friends. It was awesome! So much food and they were all wonderful and it was great to meet them. It was our first July 4th at the beach and even though we had to get there at 10:30 am, it was soooo worth it.
The weather was a perfect 70 degrees, good enough to wear a bathing suit, but with a cool refreshing breeze.
Two of Jen's friends got there at 6:45 am to reserve the bonfire spot! And believe it or not it was the last one left. Shows how dedicated beach lovers can be on July 4th.
But check it the awesome spot.
We stayed until 10 pm and to my surprise, it did not feel like we had been there for almost 12 hours.
Loved it!
