Malibu for the afternoon

First post!

This is quiet exciting, I have to say. I wanted to start my first post with last Friday, June 25th. At work we have this amazing program called Summer Friday's, which basically means I'm allowed to work a little extra time every day and take a half day every other Friday! It's quiet wonderful, especially in the summer when Eric isn't working. So last Friday was my first week and we decided to go to Malibu for the afternoon.

We decided to go to Geoffrey's Restaurant for lunch. I mean, just look at this photo:

I found the place because it had so many amazing reviews on Yelp, so I thought it was worth a try.

I decided to make a reservation, just in case, but I never thought it would be necessary! Even at 2:30 pm, the place was half full, but most importantly, all the tables by the balcony, with the wonderful view of the ocean, were taken!

Although after waiting for a couple of minutes, taking our time ordering....we were able to manage a table next to the water, and I was able to snap this picture:

Soon enough we were excited to order. Everything on the menu looked delicious! Although Eric and I are so big on Sushi, we decided to try their tuna tartar. Definitely a good choice, it was a-ma-zing. And I loved their table design, it looked so pretty!

Here's Eric taking a sip of his Strawberry Lemonade. We both got one, they were delicious:

Eric jokingly says to me: "Does this come in hetero?" as he begins to drink his very pink drink.

Eric ordered the burger (surprise surprise!) and I decided to try their Spicy Shrimp Salad. Both were yummy! The salad was actually very spicy, I thought it would be spicy shrimp in a salad, not shrimp in a spicy salad.

Afterward we headed over to the beach were we dozed off for an hour or so, and then headed home.

A wonderful Friday afternoon. :0)
